What to expect
- 01
Arrive a little early
Introduce yourself to the section leader at the door. They will find you a seat with your section.
- 02
Warm up with everyone
Rehearsals open with breathing and warm-ups for the whole choir. Nobody is singled out.
- 03
Sing with your section
You will follow along with the section on the piece of the day. Most of our music is taught from tonic sol-fa, and we teach it if you have never used it.
- 04
A quiet word with the trainer
Before the end, the trainer will listen to you sing with two or three others and confirm your part.
- 05
Commitment
Members are expected at weekly rehearsals and to learn their part between them. Concert weeks are busier; the calendar is shared well in advance.
